These conversations build the mental habits that transfer across all learning.

Not all schools emphasize critical thinking equally, and not all subjects lend themselves to the same approach. Early literacy and foundational math do require some memorization. But even within traditional subjects, teachers increasingly weave in reasoning and application rather than treating them as afterthoughts.

The goal isn't to eliminate facts from education—it's to treat them as tools for thinking rather than endpoints. A student who understands how to question, investigate, and reason can acquire any fact they need. That flexibility matters far more than what they know today.
